Lift Battery Backup

No. 1 lift backup in India!

Elevating your elevator experience to new heights!
Elevista Lift UPS | Inverter | Lift Battery Backup
Elevista’s lift battery backup system is designed to activate automatically during power outages, ensuring elevators continue to function without disruption. It uses high-capacity, durable batteries integrated with a lift UPS system. When a power failure occurs, the system switches to battery mode within 20 seconds, delivering a seamless and jerk-free ride.
Moreover, the backup provides sufficient power for multiple trips, allowing passengers to safely reach their destinations or a designated floor. Once power is restored, the system reverts to grid power and begins recharging the batteries for future use.
Importantly, while designing a lift battery backup solution, Elevista considers various factors—such as typical outage duration, motor type (with or without VFD), building type, number of floors, and additional backup needs like staircase lighting, CCTV, stack parking, and firefighting pumps. As a result, every solution is tailored for maximum reliability and efficiency.

A lift battery backup is a system that charges a battery bank using an inbuilt charger when the main power supply is available. In the event of a power failure, the backup system automatically powers the lift using the battery bank.
When the mains is present the batteries connected to the lift backup are charged. When there is any fault in the input supply the lift is shifted on the backup mode automatically.

The cost depends on many factors like Motor power rating, Panel type, Number of passengers, Duration of the backup required etc.
It is suitable in areas where power outages are more frequent and are of longer durations.
No. There is no maintenance in lift backup. But we recommend using a blower to remove the dust particles every quarter.
Yes. The lead acid batteries require maintenance every quarter. However elevista lift backup is compatible with SMF as well as lithium ion batteries which do not require maintenance.
When the lift operates on battery mode and the battery level becomes low, the UPS detects if there are passengers inside the lift. It will wait until the passengers safely exit the lift cabin before shutting down, ensuring passenger safety.
A 20-second delay is provided to allow the capacitor of the Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) inside the lift control panel to discharge completely when there is a power interruption. This ensures safe operation. However we have developed a fast changeover model for absolute jerk-free operation of the lift.
Elevista lift backup has inbuilt single phase preventer (SPP). Whenever the input supply voltage of any of the three phases goes high or low or absent, the backup mode is turned on.
A lift backup is an offline UPS in which inverter mode is turned on only when the mains is absent. On mains mode the input supply is bypassed as it is.
